IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNINGS

• When working with lead acid batteries, always make

sure immediate assistance is available in case of

accident or emergency.

• Always use protective clothing and eyewear when using this product, contact with battery acid may

cause blindness and/or severe burns. Be aware of first aid procedures

in case of accidental contact with

battery acid.

• There is a risk of explosive gases being released when lead acid batteries are being charged or

discharged. Failure to follow instructions may cause property damage,

explosive hazard, and/or

personal injury.

• Make sure the Power Switch is OFF before connecting battery clamps to

discharged battery.

• When charging unit from a 127/220 volt AC electrical outlet, in any wet or damp area, make sure that

the outlet used is protected by a ground fault interrupt (GFCI) outlet.

• When charging the unit near water, do not allow the electrical cords and outlets

to get wet; electrical

shock

could result.

• Jump-sta

rt procedures should only be performed in a safe, dry, well-ventilated area.

• Always store battery clamps when not in use. Never touch battery clamps together – this can cause

dangerous sparks,

power arcing, and/or explosion.

• When using

this unit in proximity to the vehicle’s battery and engine, stand the unit on a flat, stable

surface, and be sure to keep all clamps, cords, clothing and body parts away from moving vehicle

components.

• Do not wear vinyl clothing

when jump-starting a vehicle-friction can cause dangerous static electricity

sparks. Remove all jewelry or metal objects that could cause short circuits or react with battery acid.

• Always disconnect the negative

(BLACK) jumper cable first: followed by the positive (RED) jumper cable.

• Never allow RED and BLACK

clamps to touch each other or another common metal conductor – this could

cause damage to the unit and/or create sparking/explosion hazard. Always store battery clamps when

not in use.

• Do not expose battery to fire or intense heat as it may explode. Before disposing of the battery, protect

exposed terminals with heavy-duty electrical tape to injury or fire due to shorting.

• Do not smoke, use matches or cigarette lighters

while working on a vehicle’s battery system.

• All wires, cables, and cords must be positioned so they cannot be tripped over or damaged by moving

parts, pinching or abrading.

• Never attempt to jump-start a frozen battery.

FIRST AID

Skin:

If battery acid comes in contact with skin, rinse immediately with water, then wash thoroughly with soap and water. If

redness, pain, or irritation occurs, seek immediate medical attention.

Eyes: If battery acid comes in contact with eyes, flush eyes immediately for a minimum of 15 minutes – seek immediate

medical attention.

CAUTIONS

This unit is delivered in a partially charged state – you must fully charge it before using it for the first time.

Initial AC charge should be for 48 hours.

Use only the supplied cords/adapters for recharging this unit. Do not recharge for more than 5-6 hours maximum using 12

volt DC method. Recharge unit after each use.

ff switches should be in the OFF position when the unit is charging or not in use. Make sure all switches are in the

OFF position before connection to a power source or load.

Never insert anything other than the supplied power/recha

rging cords or recommended appliance power/recharging cords

into the 12 volt

DC charging/power socket. Do not use any accessory that is not recommended or provided by the

manufacturer.

Never insert a vehicle cigarette lighter into this unitʼs 12 Volt DC Outlet.

Do not use this unit to ope

rate appliances that draw more than 5 amps.

This system is not designed to be used as a replacement for a vehicular battery. Do not attempt to operate a vehicle tha

does not have a battery installed.

Although this unit contains a non-spillable battery, it is recommended that it be kept upright during storage, use and

recharging. To avoid possible damage that may shorten the unitʼs working life, protect it from direct sunlight, direct heat

and/or moisture.

Never submerge this unit in water, or expose it to rain or snow.

Keep unit out of reach of children (whether stored or in use).

Carga con 12 voltios CC

Este método de recarga NO recarga la unidad tan efectivamente como la recarga mediante un

tomacorriente de 127/220 voltios CA. El procedimiento de recarga de 12 voltios CC se recomienda

sólo cuando es necesario, ya que el uso continuo del procedimiento de recarga de 12 voltios CC

puede acortar la vida del sistema de batería.

Si la unidad se descarga completamente, se recomienda que se deje en marcha el vehículo que se

usa para recargar mientras se carga la unidad mediante el método de 12 voltios CC.

1. Inserte un extremo del adaptador de carga CC/CC en el tomacorriente para accesorios de 12

voltios CC

del vehículo o bote.

2. Inserte

el enchufe del otro extremo de este adaptador de carga en el puerto de recarga en el

panel frontal d

e la unidad.

3. Cuando se completa la carga, retire el cable eléctrico y almacénelo en un lugar segur

No recargue durante

más de 5 o 6 horas como máximo usando el método de 12

Reemplazo del fusible

1. Retire el enchufe del receptáculo pa

ra accesorios. Retire la tapa dorada girando en el sentido

contrario a las agujas del reloj y levantándola.

2. Retire el pasador y el resorte del centro. Retire el fusible.

3. Reemplace el fusible con el mismo tipo y medida de fusible (8 amperios).

4. Vuelva a colocar el pasador y el resorte dentro del enchufe.

5. Vuelva a colocar la tapa dorada girándola en el sentido de las agujas del reloj sobre

el enchufe.

Desecho de la batería

Contiene una batería de plomo-ácido sellada, que no derrama y no requiere mantenimiento, la

que debe ser desechada de la manera correcta. Se requiere reciclado (comuníquese con su

autoridad local para más información).

ADVERTENCIAS

No deseche esta batería en

el fuego, ya que puede producirse una explosión.

Antes de desechar la batería, proteja los terminales expuestos con cinta aislante para

trabajo pesado para evitar cortocircuitos (un cortocircuito puede producir lesiones o

incendio).

No exponga la batería al fuego o a un calor intenso, porque puede explotar.
