TOOL RUNS SLOWLY
•Checkthatthespoolhousingcanrotatefreely.Carefullycleanitif
necessary.
•Checkthatthecuttinglinedoesnotprotrudemorethan
approximately5-3/8inches(136mm)fromthespool.Ifitdoes,cut
itoffsothatitjustreachesthelinetrimmingblade.
AUTOMATIC LINE FEED DOES NOT WORK
•Keepthetabsdepressedandremovethespoolfromthespool
housinginthetrimmerhead.
•Pullthecuttinglineuntilitprotrudesapproximately5-3/8inches
(136mm)fromthespool.Ifinsufficientcuttinglineisleftonthe
spool,installanewspoolofcuttingline.
•Ensurethatthelineisnotcrisscrossedonthespoolasdetailed
infigure 19.Ifitis,unwindthecuttingline,thenwinditbackon
thespoolneatlysothatthelinesdonotcross.
•Ensurethebeginningofthecuttinglineispulledtightagainstthe
spoolasshowninfigure 18.
•Alignthetabsonthespoolcapwiththecutoutsinthehousing.
•Pushthespoolontothehousinguntilitsnapssecurelyintoplace.
•Ifthecuttinglineprotrudesbeyondthetrimmingblade,cutit
offsothatitjustreachestheblade.Iftheautomaticlinefeed
stilldoesnotworkorthespoolisjammed,trythefollowing
suggestions:
•Carefullycleanthespoolandhousing.
•Removethespoolandcheckiftheleverinthespoolhousing
canmovefreely.
•Removethespoolandunwindthecuttingline,thenwinditon
neatlyagain.Replacethespoolintothehousing.
